An original, full-length stage play by Grace Carter conceived in collaboration with her transgender daughter, Talia. Inspired by their personal journeys through womanhood, motherhood, grief, and transition, TRANSCEND is rooted in classical Greek texts and brings ancient female characters such as Demeter, Persephone, and the Furies into contemporary contexts. This is a story of mothers and daughters, the generational female identities that are handed down, and the trauma and resilience that come with them.
